Cookies

Three cookies, all of them load-bearing.

LumiQ does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics. The cookies we set exist to keep you signed in and to stop other sites acting as you. That is the entire list.

1. What we set

NameWhat it doesHow long
lumiq_atYour access token. It is what keeps you signed in from one page to the next.15 minutes
lumiq_rtYour refresh token. It gets you a new access token without making you sign in again.30 days, or until you sign out
lumiq_mfaSet only while you are completing a two-factor challenge, to tie the code you type to the sign-in that asked for it.Until the challenge finishes
  • All three are HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read them, and are marked SameSite and Secure so another site cannot use them to act as you.
  • All three are strictly necessary. Block them and you cannot sign in.

2. Browser storage

Separate from cookies, we keep one small item in your browser’s session storage: which reel you came from when you start a booking, so the creator gets credit for the reel that won them the job. It is cleared when you close the tab and it never leaves your browser except as part of that booking.

3. What we do not set

  • No advertising or retargeting pixels.
  • No third-party analytics that follow you to other sites.
  • No social media tracking widgets.
  • No cross-site profiling, and no sale or sharing of anything for behavioural advertising.

4. Cookies our providers set

Two parts of the product are rendered by someone else and set their own cookies while you are in them:

  • Stripe and Paystack, during checkout — for fraud prevention and to run the payment form. Their own privacy notices cover these.
  • Didit, during creator identity verification — to run the verification session.

These appear only when you are actually paying or verifying. They are necessary to those flows: there is no version of taking a card payment that does not involve the payment provider.

5. Why there is no banner

Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Ours all are, so asking would be theatre — and a banner people dismiss without reading makes every other consent on the web worth less.

If we ever add analytics or advertising, you will get a real choice before anything is set, and this page will say so first.

6. Controlling them yourself

Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, and signing out of LumiQ clears ours. Blocking them will sign you out and keep you out — that is the trade, and it is yours to make.
